Medicare Basics: This free class will go over the basics of Medicare and is open to anyone wishing to attend. Contact 1-855-492-2372 to register.

Boost Your Brain

This 8 week class is a holistic approach to improving brain health, enhancing memory performance, and maintaining cognitive health.

  • Mondays, August 19 – October 14 from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm at the Lakewood Library

Powerful Tools for Caregivers:

The Powerful Tools for Caregivers class helps caregivers take better care of themselves while caring for a friend or relative. Call 715-526-4712 to register.

Caregivers Support Groups:

  • First Monday of the month at the Bond Center in Oconto from 10:00 am – 11:00 am
  • First Monday of the month at the Gillett Community Center from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
  • First Wednesday of the month at the Lakewood Public Library from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
  • Fourth Tuesday of the month at the Village Town Hall in Bonduel from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
  • Fourth Wednesday of the month at the Tigerton Senior Center from 10:00 am – 11:00 am
  • Fourth Wednesday of the month at The Drip Coffeehouse on Main Street in Shawano from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Early Stages / Parkinson’s Disease Support Group: This support group is geared towards those in the early stages of dementia and/or those with Parkinson’s Disease. The meetings take place at the Shawano Municipal Building the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.
